Electrician in San Diego, California

I'm an
Hello, my name is Luke Martinez and I am currently looking for an electrical company I can call home. I have been an apprentice Electrician for 1 year now. I will be moved into California the second week of June. I wanted to get a head start on finding where my skills will best be put to use. Skills I have learned in the field: I can cut and measure conduit (I can bend a bit of conduit, but bending is still a work in progress), pull wire, whip and wire lights, change out ballasts and lamps, cut/rough in receptacles and switches, land J boxes, splice J boxes, shot into decks, use lift machines, and finishes. Related Education: In January of 2015 I attended Michigan State University for their Electrical Technology program. This is their version of the electrician’s apprenticeship. Some of the courses I took at Michigan State University were: Lighting Design, AC and DC Motors and Fundamentals of Electricity. The AC and DC Motors class is what really hooked me in to electrical. My current work: I currently work for an electrical company, Service Electric of Michigan. This company is mostly commercial/industrial work. My 1 year mark with them will be in June. I have really enjoyed working for this company. The employees are beneficial to work with. They are very good mentors, as well. I have certainly learned a lot over the course of this past year and have grown so much as an apprentice. A bit about me: I am a very organized person, a quick learner, very friendly and easy to work with, hardworking, enjoy challenges and dedicated. I am looking for an electrical company that I can add value to and help me grow as an electrician. Most importantly I would like to be employed by an electrical company that values good work ethic. If you have any questions or would like me to send you my resume, please respond to this post and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
