Workman Electric was founded in 2014 by owner Robert Lovvorn. Robert grew up intrigued by electrical work and acted on it at a young age by taking clocks apart. This led to circuit boards in high school and an apprenticeship following that. After earning his Associate degree at Vincennes University, he went on to earn a four year electrical apprenticeship degree with the Associated Builders and Contractors Indiana/Kentucky. Robert’s first job brought him to Lafayette as a residential electrician. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Robert has worked his way from a residential electrician to management experience and knew it was time for him to start out on his own with Workman Electric.
