GENERAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
•Journeyman Electrical with field experience
•Planning experience using SAP
•Proficient in MS Word, Excel, & Outlook
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Mid-level knowledge of Electrical equipment
•Knowledge of other chemical manufacturing equipment including flow meters, motors, breakers, substations, wiring, etc.
•Experience in a refinery or chemical facility
•Experience with Turnaround environment
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop detailed work plans and produce high quality job packages for preventative maintenance work requests and Outages/TAR
•Walk down the work request to gather all information needed to produce a quality plan
•Works closely with the Scheduler, Specialists, Superintendents and Coordinators to accurately determine work activities.
•Ensure that all equipment is safely released and all documents are in order prior to starting work
•Safely operate and verify electrical isolation of breakers, this includes rack in/rack out of electrical breakers up to and including 4kV systems
•Support Turnaround with Electrical Planning
•Develop electrical job packages and shutdown plans
•Progress work orders in SAP
•Scope and estimate electrical jobs – labor, materials, total cost
•Develop job and shutdown timelines
•Work with Technical / Engineering to ensure quality control of Electrical install
•Monitor and enforce safety and housekeeping standards
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in TAR
•2 years of SAP
•5 years in refinery or chemical facility.
•5 years electrical or process controls experience
•Associate’s degree in I&E craft, or A recognized Apprenticeship program, or A minimum of two years Military training in a related field, or five years of Electrical or Analyzer experience
•Previous experience and strong knowledge in the installation, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of instrumentation and electrical equipment. This includes control valves, medium voltage switchgear, motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
