Requirements High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution. A minimum of three (3) years' experience in commercial or residential electrical work. Current State Journeyman Electrician's License. Skilled in all phases of electrical installation and repair, blue print reading, and mathematical skills. Proficiency in City, County, State, and National Electrical Code. Ability to plan projects and ensure manpower, materials and equipment needs are met. Ability to work well with public and other staff members. Ability to handle clerical work (receiving reports, job sheets, etc.). Valid driver's license (Texas by hire date) and a good driving record. Environmental and Physical Requirements: Ability to work in inclement weather, confined areas, and at heights (attics, roofs, and scaffolding, etc.). Physical ability to perform job duties including: bending, climbing stairs, ladders and standing for extended periods of time; ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds. Additional Requirements: Will be required to learn how to drive and operate all types of construction equipment as assigned including: bucket truck, forklift, front end loader, bob cat, backhoe, one man lift, multi person lift, ditching machine, etc. Must undergo physical exam. Must attain a Class "B" CDL with Tanker Endorsement within 180 days of hire or Class "A" CDL and special endorsements, if job required.
