2nd shift, Wed – Sat, 2 pm to 12:30 am. Minneapolis/ST Paul Airport
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.
• Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, stationary and power equipment, components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints.
• Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, etc.
• Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
• Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment.
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.
• Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Education/Certification: Class A Journeyman Electrician, State of Minnesota (Licensed)
• Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors
• Knowledge of local electrical codes Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Five years of experience in the electrical field
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check that includes, criminal history, motor vehicle record (MVR), and school verification. All employees must have an MVR that is compliant with our company motor vehicle insurance and ability to legally drive on airport grounds.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Lifting ability up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to assume various lifting positions and static postures.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, sit, climb on and lay under GSE or Stationary Equipment
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Depending on the task, you may be required to work indoors in a garage or outside on shop grounds or elsewhere on the field. Be prepared to work around jet fumes and other vehicle emissions. Work with cleaning solvents, paint thinners and other hazardous products in the course of a normal workday.
WORKING HOURS
Schedule to be determined; must be willing to work weekends, holidays and additional shifts as assigned.

Supervisor, or Manager.
