Electrician Job in Bothell, Washington

Position: Commercial Only: 01 Journeyman Electrician and 2 Year Apprentice – MUST HAVE CURRENT WASHINGTON STATE JOURNEYMAN OR APPRENTICE TRAINEE CARDS. Project Areas: Marysville, Tulalip, Monroe, Woodinville, Snohomish, Bothell, Lynnwood, Everett, Edmonds, Bellevue, Seattle, West Seattle, Renton, Seatac, Tukwila, Kent, Auburn Hours: 6am to 2:30pm and Varies by jobsite Status: Non-Exempt Hourly Pay Scale: DOE Benefits: Eligible for Medical-Dental-Vision plan after 60 days Paid Holidays and week paid vacation after 1 year Physical Requirements & Working Conditions The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: • Ability to frequently lift or carry 20 to 75 pounds. • Ability to assist with lifting or carrying up to 120 pounds when necessary • Other physical requirements include standing, bending, squatting, sitting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing. • Typical working conditions include interior heated and unheated areas and exterior all weather conditions. Qualification Requirements The candidate must possess and meet the following criteria: • Journeyman - minimum 2 years experience as a journeyman electrician in commercial electrical construction. • Be available for weekend overtime work as required with 4 days prior notice. • A high school graduate or equivalent preferred and the ability to perform construction math. • Possess a complete set of electrical hand tools, battery operated hand drill and construction site attire, including approved leather footwear. • Possess a strong working knowledge of the tools of the trade and be able to train others in the use of these tools. • Valid Washington State driver license and acceptable driving record required. • Transportation available to various jobsites throughout the workweek and sometimes during the workday. • Become well acquainted with and demonstrate competency in WISHA/OSHA job site safety requirements and be able to enforce them. • Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff. • Ability to lead and set the pace and attitude of crew. • Complete knowledge of common electrical construction techniques and materials. • Able to read and interpret plans and specs as needed to perform their tasks. • Perform short term scheduling and plan ahead in preparation – assisted by Project Manager. • Be able to do layout with a full set of construction plans – assisted by Project Manager. • Perform quality control as job progresses. • Have excellent attendance record. • Ability to work independently or participate productively in a team environment. • Be committed to a full day's work with energy, a positive attitude and producing a quality product. • Able to train those he/she is leading. Be a good teacher and listener. • Desire to set quality standards in all areas including safety and production. • Possess a current first aid card preferred. • Continue to learn and stay current in NEC and city electrical codes. Brief Job Description Could perform the following duties including, but not limited to: • Construction: New construction could include underground electrical feeders, vaults, site lighting, under slab raceways and floor boxes, light demolition. Interior remodel, work with metal and wood studs, work on electrical man-lift for overhead installations in wood and steel truss systems. • Safety: Consistently work in a safe manner, encourage and train others to do the same, attend and actively participate or facilitate safety meetings and wear required personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety glasses, and leather boots) at all times.
