Texas Sun & Shade provides interior and exterior retractable window covering and patio systems to Austin and surrounding areas since 1987. Our Installation Department is seeking a fulltime electrician to provide electrical solutions for high-end residential and commercial installations. 40 hours/week ● benefits ● competitive pay Job Duties & Responsibilities: - Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures - Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components - Diagnose malfunctioning electrical system equipment and components - Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors - Work from ladders, scaffolds, roofs, and attics to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures - Perform product installations (includes lifting up to 100 lbs.) Job Skills: - Dependability and on-time reliability - Professional mannerisms - Critical thinking skills - Problem solving skills Knowledge & Experience: - Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in residential and commercial construction - Mechanical knowledge of hand tools and power tools - Customer service experience - Experience with safety and security procedures for the protection of people, data, property and institutions Candidate must possess current driver license.
